Before we started the class I had no idea where to start.
In the first week of 301 classes we were introduced by Diana to create a project timeline, during the curation of an example timeline with my group, I started to understand a little better on how to start and the steps I needed to take in the project. After we made an exemplar timeline (curated to someone else's project) we all took a picture of the template to individually tailor it to our own projects.
The group that I chose to start the timeline in was also very helpful in guiding my understanding of the project as they raised questions and prompts I either didn't think of or didn't know how to put into words. For example they made me think to identify which group was my project addressing, the group who is affected or the group who is part of the problem.
During the first week I was also able to start thinking of my brief and in what ways I could start refining it. My previous brief that I proposed in 300, 'How might we design a workplace environment that fosters an inclusive culture that respects and accommodates the diverse religious beliefs and practices of all employees?', I feel wasn't specific enough to start with, so I started thinking into specifying the problem space that I wanted to look at. Though I don't have it completely fleshed out yet I started to look specifically into the prejudice that people with religion face when expressing their religion through accessories or attire.
I had a look at my DES300 Research Proposal as well, reviewed and reflected on the feedback. I also put some sticky notes next to the first four steps of my methodology according to my research proposal. I felt it was necessary to do this to understand where I'm at in the project, it certainly helped a bit while refining my timeline. I predict my timeline won't be revised fully till week 3.
All in all I feel that compared to before the week I definitely feel more reassured and certain of the steps I will next take. Next week I plan to talk with Diana about my thinkings and findings. I also plan to look more in depth of a couple of things over the next few weeks like solidifying the aim of my project, the D4G (Designing for Growth) Methodology, the outputs I wanted to investigate, and working to improve my timeline.

Image below: I started to maps out the timeline myself but I plan to move into a gantt chart just to make it easier (I'm also quite used to gantt charts)
