This week, I had a conversation with Diana in 301. I talked about how I was working to specify my problem space, and she provided some valuable feedback and insights regarding the direction I'm heading. I also informed her about the aim of my project, which is to build understanding between people with a religion and those without. After our conversation, her insights suggested that I focus on improving the explanation aspect of the religion. She emphasised the importance of explaining your religion accurately and respectfully, without being too pushy towards someone who may not understand or believe in the same.

After our conversation, I admit that I am more informed of my project and it was really useful but it opened up more questions and insights I needed to answer and put into words, which I understand is really useful research.

In my 302 class, we examined different reflective methods. In my first blog, I mentioned that I had the Gibbs' reflective cycle method in mind while writing, as I had only read about it before class. However, during the class, I was able to understand it a bit better and now see that it will greatly help in structuring my future reflective blogs.

I also tried to improve my timeline and decided to make it into a Gantt chart last week. I still think I need to work on it a little more to tailor it to my methodology and project journey.

In the next 301 Studio, Diana told us to write 3 keywords associated with our project to put onto the whiteboard where she'll then group them together so we can see who else might relate. I felt good about this activity. I think it was a really good idea because it encourages collaboration and helps us see connections between our projects that we might not have noticed otherwise. By sharing our keywords, we could identify common themes and interests, which could lead to fruitful discussions and potential partnerships. Additionally, seeing our work in the context of others' ideas can provide new perspectives and inspire further creativity.

During this activity and through Diana's discussions with the class, I was inspired to modify my brief to include both names and expressions, ultimately translating into an exploration of first impressions. This idea stemmed from realising how powerful names can be in shaping our initial perceptions of people, just as much as their expressions do. Names often carry deep religious and cultural significance, influencing how individuals are perceived and understood within their communities.

I also started working on a mood board that captures my mood and the vision of my project for this week. I'm quite pleased with it and don't anticipate making any drastic changes. I haven't shown it to Diana or Roma yet.
